The specialty of Community & Preventive Dentistry aims at promotion of oral health and prevention & control of dental diseases. All such measures are generally aimed at population or community level rather than focusing on individuals.
Besides Academics & Teaching, the Department of Community & Preventive Dentistry is also actively involved in Research and Community Oral Health Programs. An important component of these community oral health program is the School Oral Health Program, which provides oral health assessment & advice to school going children.
